In 1975, when Raymond Modddy published Life After Life, a book that coined the term"near-death experience" (DE) to describe this hard-to-definephenomenon.Moody interviewed 150 near-death patiens who reported vivid experiences (flashingbacktochildhood,coming face to faec with Christ). He found that those who hade undergone NDE became more altruistic, less materialistic, and more loving.
